Our recent survey on working from home shows that 70% of us were continuing to work from home during Lockdown. We conducted this omnibus survey in May 2020 among 1025 nationally representative adults and found both positive and negative sides to #WFH. A lot of us were gardening and/or exercising more, spending time with family and taking up new hobbies. 22% are more satisfied than before with their work-life balance and 3 in 5 would like to continue to work from home.
Others found it stressful to work from home, with no proper facilities, and finding it difficult to switch off. The main barriers to working from home in the future (for those who could) was poor wifi, too many distractions and the need for face-to-face interaction with others.
