Image from cover of Enabling Cycling CitiesThe Irish launch of the book “Enabling Cycling Cities – Ingredients for Success” will take place during National Bike Week on Monday 17th June 2013 at 6 p.m. The venue is the European Commission Representation, European Union House, 18 Dawson Street, Dublin 2.
Today, May 1st, sees the start of the 2013 European Cycling Challenge with 12 cities participating, including Dublin. This challenge started last year as part of the CIVITAS MIMOSA project with 7 cities and 1,200 citizens who logged their cycling trips by GPS using the Endomondo free App.

The Atlantic Cities have recently launched their Crowd Sourcing AppMyCity! Prize celebrating mobile applications that improve the urban experience, connect people, and make cities more fun, fair, vibrant, and sustainable places.
